Teradata is seeking Senior Product Managers for Teradata Ecosystem Analytics offer management with a focus on the emerging AI Ops market. We are looking for a product lead to define and help build products and solutions to make our ‘analytics-on-analytics’ vision a reality. This is a unique opportunity to build smart technologies and predictive services to characterize workload across our ecosystem (from Internet of Things telemetry feeds to structured query optimization) and provide valuable insights and recommendations for our customers most complex analytics environments.

As a Senior Product Manager for Teradata’s Product Management team, youwill help define the offering strategy within market segments, set detailed direction and priorities across functions and help translate market realities into an offering strategy. In addition, this role will help oversee entire offering lifecycle and will be accountable for driving commercial results of assigned offering and solutions.
Interesting Work That You’ll Do:
Define product and solution vision and manage the product backlog
Be a thought leader in the company for ecosystem analytics and AIOps
Develop user requirements for an end-to-end offering and solution
Do SWOT and market analysis to develop business plan and refine strategy
Develop market opportunity analysis, contribute to market POV, and monitor market trends to identify growth opportunities
Define and deliver on innovative offering and solution elements based on customer requirements and market analysis
Work closely with technical leaders across engineering, data science and user experience to make your vision a reality
Work closely with sales, services and marketing teams to deliver on go-to-market plans and refine marketing messages in an agile delivery environment
Track progress against success metrics and goals and escalate potential risks or arising issues
Ensure offering and solutions management activities meet industry-leading standards, processes and controls for product release activities across solution suites
This position involves a limited amount of travel (<20%)
US Permanent Residence
Undergraduate degree in computer science, business or related technical field
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
8+ years of Product Management experience in a software technology business
At least 2 years on products with a significant machine learning / AI component
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to execute over the entire product lifecycle guided by performance metrics
‘Outside-in’ viewpoint, fully aware of the competitive set and industry trends, and how to reconcile with company strategy
Ability to create and own the product vision and manage the product backlog from a practical perspective
Ability to lead and facilitate project meetings, team coordination, issue resolution, and action item tracking
Ability to handle ambiguity and get input from a diverse group of people
Deep understanding of open source data platform technologies and markets to support data integration and analytics tasks at scale: e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes
Deep understanding of relational database technology (including database internals) and market
Experience with the instrumentation of technical stacks to drive actionable insights
Experience working in a technical operation team or closely with a technical operation team in a complex production environment (for example Dev Ops or IT Ops)
Experience integrating solutions with Dev Ops or Customer Support incident management platforms
Hands-on experience with public cloud technology (AWS/Azure/related), and a good market understanding
Experience working on an interdisciplinary team with Data Scientists and analytics software engineers to deliver products with machine learning components
Advanced Degree – MBA or master’s in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research)
Ability to analyzecompetitors, do SWOT analysis, and estimate market potential of feature and product
Experience in the application development environment (Teradata, Oracle, Vertica, et al.), ETL, Hadoop and Big Data Solutions, NoSQL and operational knowledge of third party GUI and data transformation tools (COGNOS, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Informatica and others)
