Teradata Senior Consulting Quality Analyst in San Diego, California

Teradata Corporation is looking for a seasoned individual for a position in the Teradata Quality group. As a team member, you will use your quantitative skills to oversee several R&D programs engaged in innovative ways to improve product quality (on premise and Cloud) though such tasks as: audits of quality plans, review program documents, quality metrics for data integrity, process / project audits, facilitate key learnings, manage organization repositories and assist with defect management and closed loop corrective action activities. This will also require an expert level knowledge of the CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integrated Version 1.3/2.0), ISO 9000:2015, FDA 1 CFR Part 11 and the skills to manage successful onsite appraisals. While also coordinating, and driving both internal (Teradata Labs worldwide) and customer on premise audits in Rancho Bernardo which requires extensive overall knowledge of Teradata & Teradata Labs R&D.

The activities are geared towards improving product quality with a focus on upstream process improvements and the adoption of the Agile methodology. These efforts will require you to interact with employees at every level and in different parts of the organization worldwide.

  • Experienced CMMI Appraisal Team Member

  • Fast learner with strong problem solving and analytic skills

  • Must be ambitious and have strong work ethic

  • Demonstrated strength in verbal and written communication

  • Must be familiar with the Agile Methodology

  • Familiar with the Cloud

  • Ability to conduct audits against the ISO 9000:2015 standard

  • Understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 is desirable

  • Understanding product quality and how it relates to product realization

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to work well with a wide range of individuals

Basic Qualifications:

  • Engineering management experience (10 years)

  • Formal CMMI training and appraisal team experience

  • Able to drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Closed Loop Corrective Action (CLCA) initiatives

  • Extensive knowledge of the realization process within Teradata Labs to enable higher product quality initiatives and customer and external audits

  • Drive customer satisfaction result initiatives

  • Project management experience (5 years)

  • Knowledge of statistical methodologies is desired

  • BA/BS Math or Computer Science
