Sales Development Leader -Director

We are currently looking for an innovative, enthusiastic Sales Development Leader to direct the activities of a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) within our Americas Inside Sales organization. In this role, you will be partnering with Sales Area Vice Presidents (AVPs), Account Executives, Inside Sales Leadership and Marketing to lead an organization accountable for driving account and pipeline development within assigned territories.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Hire, develop and grow a team of SDRs to perform at their highest potential.
Collaborate with Americas sales leadership to align effective SDR support of Account Plans across your assigned regions.
Partner with AVPs on driving new and expanding existing customer sales objectives into new business areas through targeted account development activities aligned with field programs and activities.
Enforce the highest possible standards among your team, and seek opportunities to enhance existing standards, policies and processes.
Understand and support the Teradata Sales Development Team vision.
Assist in developing Teradata’s Sales Development Team as “the most sought-after Sales Development Team in the San Diego region.”
Support and encourage career development and growth of all individuals under your direct supervision.
Develop and maintain accountability for all Marketing and Demand Generation activities delivered to your assigned accounts and territories; collaborate with marketing and the field team to fully implement and utilize marketing assets and programs.
Contribute to and further develop a reporting environment that identifies areas for potential growth and improved results.
Deliver results and maintain accountability to the leadership of the regions you hold within your area of influence.
Thorough understanding of the Sales Development Environment and sales processes including mastery of cold calling, overcoming objections, email outreach, account development messaging cadences, account research, and territory development.
Experience mentoring and leading 10+ person teams
- Proven ability to deliver closeable pipeline growth in an enterprise model.
Skilled at analyzing data, understanding trends, and seeking opportunities to streamline activities based on trend analysis.
Must be a highly effective communicator, through written and oral presentations to all levels of contacts, internal and external.
Proven ability to establish rapport, develop, and maintain strong relationships among all contacts, internal and external.
Proven ability to act strategically and in support of the Teradata’s Field Sales Organizations Region, Territory and Account requirements
Strong verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong sales and problem-solving skills
Fluent in English
Ability to travel as required – less than 25% travel requirement.
Must reside in the San Diego region – a remote role will not be considered
