Teradata Integration Architect in San Diego, California
The Integration Architect, reporting to the Director/Senior Manager of Integration technology, will be accountable for the architecture, roadmap, and standards for Teradata’s application integration. Teradata is under-going transformational change of the organization, processes, and systems. We have recently deployed Workday, SharePoint, and Salesforce, and will soon deploy FinancialForce as well as new solutions for CPQ and ERP. We desire an experienced technology leader and change catalyst to help drive us forward in the integration space.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Design and develop the architecture, roadmap, and standards for the Informatica Cloud platform.Establish self as subject matter expert (SME) for efficient and effective use of Informatica’s Cloud Services iPaaS.
Establish and maintain an effective relationship with integration vendors to understand software release schedules, roadmap of product features, development best practices, etc.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various Teradata IT Development organizations to ensure consistent, supportable, and effective use of iPaaS platform.
Network effectively into Teradata’s Professional Services organization and Informatica COE. Life-cycle manage IT’s computing infrastructure roadmap for iPaaS platform.
Design and maintain integration templates, define related standards, and review data integration development.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years as an Architect with a focus on integration in a complex, publicly-traded, global organization.
Demonstrated strength in integration architecture including defining and implementing integration patterns. [You have a copy ofEnterprise Integration Patternson your nightstand]
5+ years of SaaS/PaaS/cloud experience with best in breed providers like Salesforce, Workday, Informatica, Eloqua, Amazon Web Services, Azure and other similar CSPs.
Experience/Familiarity with Teradata RDBMS, Teradata SQL and Teradata utilities (BTEQ, MLOAD, TPT) desired.Success using agile principles to deliver great business outcomes through technology.
Significant hands-on experience with InformaticaPower Center and/or Informatica Cloud Services.
Integration experience with web services/API via REST/SOAP/OData/JSON and other protocols
Experience with a variety of hosting models, including on-premise, vendor cloud, public cloud, and SaaS.
Demonstrated experience working with a managed service provider to partner on delivery.
Demonstrated experience with global teams.
Proven ability to continuously improve outcomes and processes.

Education & Special Training
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or equivalent, required.
Master's degree in CS, CIS, MIS, or related disciplines, or MBA, is preferred.
