The Product Owner - Analytics Solutions (PO) is a key member of our Product Management group and works closely with the Software Development team, and directly with clients, to understand the market needs of the Teradata Customer Journey Analytics product line. They are responsible for defining product functionality to meet those needs, as well as describing the required functionality in the form of user stories. The PO is also responsible for prioritizing the user story backlog based on business value; They serve as the point person for the SCRUM team, participating in standard SCRUM activities including stand-ups, backlog grooming, and sprint planning, and for signing off on features to ensure they meet the determined acceptance criteria and overall market need.
Responsibilities• Become/remain a subject matter expert in the CIM product and develop an understanding of target market and user base to guide product decisions• Work closely with Product Managers, UX, and design teams and other stakeholders to build and maintain the product functionality backlog• Work with Product Management to define larger and more complex solution components for Marketing departments, and break them down into logical, discrete units for development• Authenticate technical integration across multiple enterprise software systems• Communicate the vision and goals at the beginning of every release and sprint• Elaborate user stories for implementation• Ensure that the Product Backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum business value• Engage with key customer contacts and with Product Managers as required to ensure that all relevant inputs to the Product Backlog have been collected and prioritized• Participate in team planning meetings and exercising availability to provide advice, clarification and guidance during the execution of each Sprint• Inspect, accept or reject completed work from the development Sprint• Demonstrate completed product functionality to the internal stakeholders at the completion of each Sprint
QualificationsMinimum Requirements• Minimum US Permanent Residency• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CS, CE, EE) or related Business curriculum• Minimum two years of relevant product management or product owner experience in addition to technical development• Familiarity with relational databases/SQL• A passion for great user experience• Analytically-minded and hypothesis-driven thinker• Ability to balance wisdom from personal experience vs. creativity to drive better or more elegant solutions• Strong time management skills and project management skills• Ability to weigh and distill inputs from many internal and external sources into a logical and justified course of action• Skilled at meeting facilitation and presentation• Must thrive in a fast-paced, time-compressed and dynamic environment• Skilled at writing concise, clear, and thorough requirements• Experience managing multiple, time-critical projects
Preferred Requirements• Experience with Marketing Applications SaaS• Expertise in Data Wrangling, Ecosystem Integration Science, Advanced Analytics, and Visualizations• Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and Product Owner role
