Job Description

The GDC Senior Capability Consultant reports directly to the GDC Capability Manager and is accountable for:-

  • Growing capability within the GDC with primary focus in India – for Leadership, Management, Consulting and Technical Skills

  • Supporting the development of overall capability strategy across the GDC in partnership with the GDC Practice Leads, Centre Heads, and Center Practice Managers

  • Leading, managing and supporting the execution of capability strategy

  • Understanding short-term and long-term capability requirements, working closely with GDC Practice Leads, and launching programs to address these needs, leveraging Global Learning resources as well as in-house GDC resources

  • Building and maintaining core working relationships with key stakeholders:

  • The Capability teams in the other GDC Centers

  • Customer Excellence and Delivery Excellence Teams

  • Practice Managers and Development Managers

  • GDC Resource Management Team

  • HR and Global Learning

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Develop and implement GDC capability strategy together with GDC Capability Partner, and working with the GDC Leadership

  • Delivery high quality capability programs while seamlessly working with the rest of the GDC Capability Team

  • Support the GDC Practice Leads in developing the Technical and Consulting skills of GDC consultants, necessary to enable successful delivery of our services

  • Accountable for standardized skills development across GDC and alignment with Global Competency team standards

  • Support Centre Managers in coaching GDC consultants to define their personal development and career plans in alignment with Global career pathing programs and company needs

  • Design and deploy standard, repeatable development programs for key roles and areas (e.g. Delivery Managers, Technical Leads, Project Managers, Service Delivery Managers, Solutions Architects and Offshore Coordinators etc.)

  • Track, measure and report on the progress of capability program on a periodic basis to the Capability Practice Partner and GDC Leadership

  • Contribute to the achievement of overall GDC strategy

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Engineering Graduate or equivalent from a reputed institute with 10-12 years of experience as an internal or external consultant with broad exposure and experience in a variety of circumstances and a proven record of success

  • Hands on experience in a number of business disciplines such as; Consulting Services, Business Operations, Project Management, Information Technology

  • Extensive experience indelivering trainingsin soft skills & consulting space

  • ExcellentPresentation SkillsandCommunication Skillsare mandatory

  • Must be passionate about nurturing people and creative in challenging people to help them grow to their full potential

  • Minimum of 10 years as an internal or external consultant with hands-on experience in a number of business disciplines (e.g. Consulting Services, Analytics, Project Management, Information Technology, Managed Services) and has a proven record of success

  • Confident, Self-motivatedindividual who canleadanddeal with complexities

  • Microsoft Office Skills

  • Strong communications and presentation skills. Ability to positively represent themselves, Teradata and the GDC

  • Broad exposure and experience in a customer management role (entailing maintenance of on-going relationship, driving mutual understanding of needs and growing repeat business) is an advantage

  • Takes initiative and decisive action on emerging opportunities in a rapidly evolving environment

  • Thinks strategically & critically so as to evaluate, synthesize and interrelate information from internal and external sources when solving problems and making decisions

  • Knowledge of Teradata products, services and delivery methods is an advantage

Work Environment

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the local country (India), and across GDC locations in India/Manila
