Teradata Managed Services Pre-Sales Director - Central in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Summary Description

This position is a Managed Services Pre-Sales Director within the Managed Services Practice reporting the Managed Services Practice leader for the Americas. This position will work with the East Region to scope and sell Managed Services for customers who have both on premise and Cloud solutions.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Drive MS sales revenue objectives through contract renewals, new business development and offer expansion

  • Ensure linkage with the account teams to position and sell Managed Services

  • Develop sales strategy to meet market requirements both for TD and Third-Party solutions (Cloud, DI/BI/Open Source/Application Sustainment)

  • Position MS with the customer with outcome based/SLA driven solutions

  • Scope customer engagements for both local and off-shore requirements

  • Develop the SOW

  • Negotiation of the terms and price with the customer

  • Position for expansion of the existing base

  • Renew Contracts

    Education and Background

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent

  • 5+ years IT experience including 3+ years scoping Professional Services

  • 3+ years of Selling Managed Services and a proven record of success

  • Cloud experience; AWS, Azure

  • Teradata Professional Services knowledge of Teradata‚Äôs Application Suite

  • ITIL certification

  • Knowledge of Production Management (DI, BI, Open Source)

  • Knowledge of Dev/Ops and Agile Sustainment

  • 5+ years of Application Management PS experience

  • Proven record of working well within a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Works independently

  • Travel required throughout East
